Public sector digital strategy takes centre stage at Civica Expo
The Dukes management team attended the annual Civica Expo on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd January at Manchester Central Convention Centre. Heads of Services from local authorities across the UK gathered to discuss public sector digital strategy and discover the role technology will play over the next 10 years. Keynote speakers included branding expert and angel investor Alex Hunter and 6-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy. In line with the public sector digital strategy theme Dukes presented a Showcase session entitled 'How technology can help communicate with debtors and boost collection rates'. The Dukes team, which included Local Authority Consultant Joan Bailey, Contact Centre Manager Sally Woodbridge plus Sales and Marketing Director Chris Furness, also attended seminars and master-classes over the 2 day Expo.
The team took the opportunity to network with council personnel and had the chance to meet Sir Chris Hoy. "It was a thoroughly enjoyable and productive 2 days", said Chris. "The Expo's new format found favour with most people and the app used to navigate the event and organise your day was really useful."
Focus on public sector digital strategy
Civica's annual Expo took a departure from it's usual format this year with an increased focus on the world of digital and how public sector digital strategy can make a difference. Attendees were able to view the programme of talks, seminars, master-classes and showcases via an app which allowed them to reserve a places and even arrange one-to-one meetings.
Dukes were appointed as Civica's preferred enforcement partner last year after impressing the business process and IT specialist with their innovative approach to debt recovery.
Dukes Local Authority Consultant Joan Bailey enthused, "The local authority landscape continues to face some major challenges, but this year's Civica Expo showed that innovative public sector digital strategy will be at the heart of cost-efficient solutions."
