Abbie Griffiths is promoted to Bid Manager
We are so proud to announce that Abbie has been promoted to Bid Manager, effective from Monday 8 August.
Abbie started at Dukes in 2019 as a Client Services Administrator, after 6 months Abbie started to be recognized for her strong writing and it was suggested that she do a ‘day in their shoes’ of Sarah, whom, at the time, was in the Bid Team. This would lead to Sarah proposing the idea of a move to the Bid Team and, in Abbie’s words, ‘the rest is history’!
As Abbie started in the Bid Team in 2020, her first 6 months on the job were unpredictable due to the pandemic. Despite this, two and a half years later Abbie can celebrate assisting several tender wins.
The continued hard work and dedication has meant Abbie has now been promoted to Bid Manager, this involves Abbie taking on management of the team and their responsibilities, meaning a lot more time will be spent on planning for upcoming tenders. She will be working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify and target clients and potential opportunities, whilst still supporting Sam and Emily with writing bid responses.
Abbie has commented “I’m really excited about the new role and the opportunity to help in shaping the future of Dukes! It’s obviously a little nerve-wracking taking on additional responsibilities, but I’m looking forward to getting stuck in – and I’m lucky enough to work in a fantastic, supportive team who are already making the transition as easy as possible.”
