Sarah Naylor; the youngest elected Vice President of CIVEA
Over the past few months our Sales Director, Sarah, has been busy demonstrating her abilities and lobbying for votes whilst running for Vice President of CIVEA. We are elated to write that Sarah was elected! Sarah is now officially the Vice President of CIVEA, and will be in post for the next 2 years before she takes on the role of President in 2024.
This is an exceptional achievement, with Sarah being the youngest appointed and only the second female since the association started in 2011.
As Vice President, Sarah is now an Officer of CIVEA and will work alongside fellow Officers: President & Treasurer, liaising with the CEO regularly, discussing issues as and when they arise; and influencing strategies to help the association evolve. Sarah will be attending fortnightly meetings as well as in-person events to represent CIVEA. She will also continue to attend meetings in London every 3-months with the Executive Council.
In Sarah’s words: “I’m dedicated to ensuring that enforcement is achieved ethically and that as an industry we continue to build a long and sustainable future. It is this motivation that underpins all of my decision making. As we continue to push for a fee uplift and adjust to the new Enforcement Conduct Board, I feel this is the perfect time for me to become Vice President, sharing my values and core focuses, and aligning them with our wider association objectives and most importantly, achieving the results we, as an industry, set out for.
I’m looking forward to the challenge, and I know it will be just that. The industry is heavily male-dominated and as a young female appointed to the role, I feel like this is a step in the right direction to challenging and changing the existing biases. I’m really grateful and excited that Dukes will now be the company leading that change” .
